Labour/Leisure

An experiential work, where gallery visitors are tasked with making a plaster cast of a loaf of bread.  For half of the participants, this is framed as work, and for half it is presented as a leisure activity, exploring our relationship to the idea of work, and the value we place on different types of activity.  The choice of a loaf of bread as the object cast highlights society's dismissal of domestic labour.
